The Icons of FrontPage 2000

Here are the icons of FrontPage 2000 and what they mean

   This icon shows up when the following META tag(s) are in your page:

<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 4.0">

and/or

<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">

(Note: This icon will show if both, or either one of these META tags are there)

   This icon shows when the above META tag(s) is not in your page.

   This icon shows when that page is in the editing view of FrontPage 2000. It doesn't matter if the above META tag(s) is there or not. When you close out of the active page, the icon will change depend on the META tag (s), mentioned above.

   This icon shows for .asa .asp. css files. It isn't effected by the META tag(s)

   This icon shows for graphics (jpg, gif, etc)

   This seems to be the default icon for anything else (.js, .class .txt, etc)

   The next set of icons are the ones FrontPage 2000 uses for Office 97 and 2000. (By default, when you open a document in FrontPage 2000 that was created in another Office application, FrontPage will launch the original application that created the file to allow you to edit the document. To use FrontPage as your default editor you can change the default editor settings. To change this setting, on the Tools menu, choose Options and click on the Configure Editors tab. Then uncheck the box that says Open web pages in the Office application that created them.)
(NOTE: A special thanks to David Berry, of SiteBuilder Resources, for the Office 2000 information/verification)

   These next three deal with the check in - out feature of FrontPage 2000

This is the default. It means the document is not checked out at all.

This one means you have checked out a document.

This one means someone else had checked out a document.
