This issue of RSN is going to center on Mars. Unless you've been under a rock lately, you know that evidence of surface water has been found on Mars. This is huge in that it would make colonizing Mars a much easier possibility. Not only in the fact that we humans needs water to live, but in carrying more equipment to Mars, and making the fuel for the return trip from the Martian water (instead of carrying enough fuel for the return trip, from the get go).

This has also led to the beginning of a new "Space Race". For those not old enough to remember the first one to the Moon, between the USA and the USSR (USSR = Soviet Union; for the really young ;-) but it seems that Europe and the US may now be in the beginnings of a race to Mars.
